BMW 6 Series Convertible in Detroit on year 2012

BMW 6 Series is completely revamped from the 2011 model year, with new designs and techniques taken from both 5 – and 7-series. And so far as that offered six coupe and convertible on the same platform. The new generation has a wheelbase and short overhangs little more, and is slightly wider than the old one. At the Paris show recently, we see the coupe is called a concept, but looked much finished out. Now look, however, “sources familiar with” the car ready as the first series will be convertible at the NAIAS show in Detroit in January. Sales will then start to summer.

Previously it was said that the coupe-6 ball would appear in its final form only in the Frankfurt Motor Show in autumn 2011, but the question is whether or not it is almost as complete as cabber and, if so, should bring the Car Series debut in Geneva instead. No information is entirely credible that there is now.

However, it is evident that the range of 6 Series Convertible retains the classic soft top, and that the outcome of vertical and lowered the rear window between the features “earflaps” left over from the current generation.
The engines are six and V8 both 5 – and 7-series, with 306 and 407 horsepower, two standards related to the automatic transmission BMW åttastegade. Start / Stop is also normal.

We can also expect the new ball 6 (in both coupe and convertible version) receives the most advanced equipment was packed with the latest 7-series and then were also transferred to the new 5 Series. This means, among other camera that reads road signs (including “end of speed limit”), warning fescue with the vibrations of the steering wheel to monitor the blind spot, vindrutedisplay and spacers with the emergency brake automatically.

Nurburgring spy photos of recent shows that the new 6 Series also comes in a version of muscular finish forge M GmbH, in both coupe and cabber. The engine should be the 4.4-liter V8 with twin turbo which is now M brand models, X5 and X6. The effect should be between 570 and 580 horsepower. It is likely that the 20-inch wheels, the test car came with the ball ended M6 – which should be in showrooms sometime in the fall of 2011.
